Thank you for your interest in Quimby Press. We are always looking for new book proposals, and accept submissions directly from authors (including first time authors) and from literary agents.

    We do not accept proposals on disk or via e-mail. Inquiry letters may be sent via e-mail.

    If you would like your manuscript to be considered for publication, please send us the following information (submission must be in English):

1. A cover letter with a brief description of the project and the contents of your submission package.

2. A summary of the author's background and credentials. A description of the intended market for your book. Please include a list of known competing titles and how yours is different.

3. A book outline and/or a table of contents.

4. A full manuscript, if completed. In the case of a proposal, three printed sample chapters.

5. An approximate word count for the proposed manuscript.

6. Your complete daytime contact information including telephone and email.

7. Other supporting materials that you believe would be helpful for us as we make our decision.

  Note: Only send copies of your material and keep the original for your records. If you wish to have any material returned, include a self-addressed, stamped envelope. Submission of unsolicited materials is done at the author's risk of loss or damage. Note that anything unclaimed will be recycled or destroyed.
